WEST LIBERTY – Susan Kay (Roth) Hines, 77 of West Liberty, passed away on Feb. 28, 2025 in Lima, Ohio. She was born in Springhills, Ohio, on June 12, 1947 to the late Elmer and Emma (Adams) Roth. On June 20, 1975, she married Donald R. "Jake" Hines, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2003. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Roth and sisters Wanda Shilling and Helen Eaton; and a granddaughter, Brenda. She is survived by her children Brian (Lisa) Roth, Dennis Hines, Tim Hines, Joe Hines, Lori (Paul) Hines, Julie (Pete) Hatfield, and Marlee (David) Parker-Oglesbee. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a brother, Sam Roth. Susan was a devout Christian and was a member of the Springhills Presbyterian Church where she served as the pianist and organist since 1960 until they had to close their doors. She then found a new home at the West Liberty United Church of Christ in 2012, where she found much joy and was able to be a fill-in
