Magdalena Castillo Mick, 99, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Logan Acres Senior Community.
Magdalena (Nena) was born on October 14,1925 in the Philippines, to the late Everino and Filicidad (Mercurio) Castillo.
Nena married Earl Victor Mick on December 15, 1991, after a penpal relationship, while she resided in Seattle, Washington. Earl preceded her in death on December 9, 2001. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and one grandson, Clinton Douglas Johnston.
She is survived by two stepdaughters, Donna J. Mick and Janet L. Stroud, both of Bellefontaine; Six grandchildren, Lee (Trayce) Wilcoxon, Shawn (Tiffany) Wilcoxon, Josh (Jennifer) Wilcoxon, all of Bellefontaine, Bridgette Phillips, of Vernon, Florida and Justice Stroud, also of Bellefontaine; Six great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Nena is also survived by three sisters and many nieces and nephews in the Philippines and the U.S.
