WEST LIBERTY – Betty Viola (Johnson) Lapp, born June 28, 1936, of West Liberty, went to be with Jesus on March 16, 2025 surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Canton, Ohio, to Robert and Grace (Noble) Johnson. In 1948, Betty moved with her siblings to the Mennonite Children's Home in West Liberty, Ohio. In 1954, she married Daniel A. Lapp, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1999. Together they had five children: Gerald (Karen) Lapp, Gail Lapp, Gloria (Rick) Davis, Glenn (Julie) Lapp and Gina Loehr. A homemaker, Betty was actively involved with her children and her church. She was a wonderful caretaker during her husband's illness. Betty and Dan spent many winters in Okeechobee, Florida. They also enjoyed camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, whether that was attending special events, playing cards, or enjoying family meals. Betty is survived by her children; 13 grandchildren: Laura (Kevin) Centers, Lisa (Leroy) Holm
